This policy explains how DreamsDecoded (www.dreamsdecoded.com) uses cookies and similar technologies. DreamsDecoded is a free content site: there are no accounts, no logins, and no checkout, so we use far fewer cookies than most websites.

What cookies we use

Consent cookie (essential)

When you make a choice in our cookie banner, we store it in a single first-party cookie named dreamsdecoded_cookie_consent so we do not ask you again on every visit. It holds only the word true or false and expires after 12 months. This cookie is necessary to remember your decision and cannot be disabled.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand which dream symbols and guides people find useful, in aggregate. These tools can set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, but only after you choose Accept in the banner. Until then, and if you choose Decline, Google Consent Mode keeps all analytics and advertising storage denied and no analytics cookies are set.

Cookieless measurement

We also use Vercel Analytics, which measures page views without cookies, without persistent identifiers, and without tracking you across sites. It runs regardless of your banner choice because it stores nothing on your device.

No advertising or retargeting cookies
No selling or sharing of personal data
No cross-site tracking pixels
No fingerprinting

Changing your choice

To change your decision, delete the dreamsdecoded_cookie_consent cookie for this site in your browser and reload any page; the banner will appear again. You can also clear or block cookies globally:

Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies
Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Preferences, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data

Blocking all cookies does not break DreamsDecoded; every article and dictionary entry works without them.
